Questions about AI training for executives in Hong Kong

Plain answers about one to one AI training for executives in Hong Kong, what it costs, what it involves, and what the words everybody is using actually mean.

What is Aureus Sovereign?

Aureus Sovereign is a one to one AI training and setup service for senior executives in Hong Kong. It installs the tools, sits beside the client while they use them on their own work, and stays on call afterwards.

It is bought by one person for themselves rather than by a company for its staff. The engagement is run by the people who take the first call, and nobody is passed to an account manager.

I keep hearing about AI but I do not know where to start. What do I actually do?

Begin with the terminology, then apply the systems to material already in hand. Reading about AI does not transfer; applying it to a live board pack does.

The effective sequence is: the systems are configured by somebody else, the first session is conducted on the client's own document rather than a demonstration file, and advisory access is retained for whatever arrives next. That sequence is the programme.

Is there AI training for executives in Hong Kong?

Yes. Aureus Sovereign provides one to one AI training for chairmen, chief executives, managing directors, board members and senior partners across Hong Kong, delivered at the client's own office.

Group courses and executive programmes are also available through the business schools. The distinction is that this is conducted one to one, on the client's own confidential files, at hours the client sets, with no third party present.

Do I need any technical background?

No. Nothing is required at any stage, and no preparation is asked for before a session.

The programme is designed for people who run substantial organisations and have no interest in becoming technical. No client is asked to install, configure or read anything beforehand.

How long does it take?

Four half-days across a quarter, at hours set by the client. Work between sessions is carried out by the practice.

The first session is structured to end with the systems in productive use on the client's own work. The remaining three address depth, judgement and knowing what to distrust.

What does it cost?

It is quoted after an initial consultation, because it is scoped to the person and to the work. The first conversation costs nothing and carries no obligation.

No price is published because the engagements genuinely differ. Somebody who wants the vocabulary and a working setup is not buying the same thing as somebody who needs a private machine installed for privileged material.

Where do the sessions happen?

At the client's own premises, or a private room of the client's choosing, anywhere in Hong Kong.

Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Quarry Bay, Kowloon and the New Territories are all routine. Sessions by telephone or video are possible, though the work proceeds faster in person, where the systems in actual use are visible.

Who else is in the room?

The client and one representative of the practice. There is no group, no observers and no minutes taken.

This matters more than it appears to. The questions worth asking about these systems are elementary ones, and few senior people will ask them in front of colleagues who report to them.

Can my assistant or chief of staff take part?

Yes. An assistant or chief of staff may attend the later sessions.

It is at the client's discretion and does not alter the fee. It is often the sensible arrangement, since the assistant is frequently the person who will operate the routine elements afterwards.

What happens to my confidential documents?

Material is held only for the duration of the engagement and is returned or destroyed at its conclusion, on the client's instruction. A confidentiality undertaking is provided as standard.

Where material cannot leave the premises at all, the practice installs a machine running capable models with no network path out, so that nothing is transmitted. This is not required for most work, and where it is not needed the practice says so.

What is an AI agent, in plain terms?

An agent is a system that is allowed to take several steps on its own, in sequence, without stopping to ask permission between each one.

An ordinary assistant answers one question at a time. An agent is given an objective and works through it: reading a document, looking something up, drafting a response, checking it. The question worth asking about any agent is what it is permitted to do without checking with a person first.

What does agentic mean?

Agentic describes a system that acts in steps of its own choosing towards a goal, rather than responding once to each instruction.

A vendor describing a platform as agentic is stating that it takes actions unsupervised between the instruction and the result. That is useful, and it is also the element requiring a boundary.

What does human in the loop mean?

Human in the loop means a person is meant to approve something before it proceeds. The phrase says nothing about who that person is or whether they have time to read what they are approving.

It is often used to close a discussion about risk. The useful follow-up is which specific person, at which specific step, and what they are actually shown when it reaches them.

Will AI replace what I do?

No, and the framing is the wrong one at director level. The change worth attending to is that reading, comparison and drafting which formerly consumed a week can now be completed in an hour.

What that yields is not less work. It is more time on the judgement only the executive can supply, and a considerably lower tolerance for analysis that cannot be interrogated.

Is ChatGPT enough, or do I need something else?

For most executive work a current general-purpose assistant is enough, and which one is best changes every few months.

The deficiency is rarely the tool. It is that no one has loaded the client's archive, drafted standing instructions, or demonstrated what these systems do badly. That is the part the programme addresses.

How is this different from an executive course at a business school?

A course teaches a syllabus to a cohort. The programme works through the client's own files, one to one, at the client's own premises, and does not terminate when the sessions do.

Both have their place. A framework and a network are best obtained from a course. Competent use of these systems on the next board pack is the shorter path taken here.

Is my firm too small, or too traditional, for this?

No. The programme is engaged by an individual, so nothing depends on the client's organisation adopting anything or maintaining a technology function.

Traditional firms are in fact where the deficit is widest, as the terminology reaches board papers long before anyone senior has been given a route to using the systems directly.

What if my industry is regulated?

Regulated work is common among our clients, and it is the reason the private machine option exists.

Where material is subject to privilege, a live transaction, or a regulator's file, we install equipment that runs capable models with no network path out. Nothing is transmitted, so there is nothing to disclose about where it went.

What happens after the four sessions?

Direct access is retained. The practice answers, with no ticket system and no account management layer.

A quarterly session in person continues for as long as the client requires, so that the systems in use remain current rather than those current at the time of instruction.

How do I start?

Request a consultation. It lasts forty-five minutes, by telephone or at the client's premises, with no preparation and no prior reading.

Nothing is installed, purchased or signed as a result of that conversation. Where the programme is not appropriate, this is stated at that stage rather than afterwards.

Request a consultation

The request reaches the practice directly rather than a queue. We reply within one business day, and usually the same day.
